Oasis High School 2019

Oasis High School | November 22-23 | Manhattan, KS

Oasis is a weekend conference for high school students held here in Manhattan on the campuses of K-State & MCC. It will be real and relevant, fun and engaging, while raising up students to make big impact for Jesus in today's culture. 

Our speaker will be Ty Zimmerman! You know Ty as the local FCA director, but Ty played football at K-State as a Defensive Back from 2010-2013 and was a junior on the Big 12 Championship team in 2012! After graduating from KSU, Ty was signed as a free agent to the New Orleans Saints and spent the 2014 season on Injured Reserve. After being released from the Saints in 2015, Ty began teaching and coaching at his alma mater in Junction City. It was during this time that he came to know Jesus and felt God call him into ministry. We are so excited to hear Ty share about the Victory we can experience in Jesus.

Worship will be led by University Worship! Who's that, you ask? You know them as Storm, Logan, and the rest of the worship team here at UCC! University Worship is committed to excellence and has a deep desire to see students connect with God with high energy, high impact times of worship through song.

Overnight we'll stay in host homes with youth ministry families. So you'll need a sleeping bag and pillow (or other bedding); an air mattress is optional, but might help you sleep!

Cost:

• $50 + money for 1 meal 
• Early Deadline = Nov 1 
• After Nov 1, there will be a $10 late fee

5th Quarter Party

Friday, October 18 | 10:00pm-midnight | Faith E-Free Church

This Friday, following local football games, we are hosting a 5th Quarter Party at Faith E-Free Church (1921 Barnes Rd. 66502) for all high schoolers! There will be a Nacho Bar, games, friends, and more!

There are typically 4 quarters in a football game. The 5th Quarter, therefore, is what happens after the game. We want to provide a safe, positive place and environment for students to hang out together after the game.

This event is absolutely FREE and open to any high school student from any local school. You don't even have to go to a football game that night to come!

Please drop off and pick up at Faith E-Free Church. 
 

Fall Fest 2019

Sunday, October 6 | 3:30-9:00pm

Want a chance to escape for some outdoor fun and time with friends? At Fall Fest, we'll head to Britt's Farm to enjoy a corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrack rides, giant jumping pillow, and more. We'll take time to enjoy dinner together, then head out to the country for a bonfire, worship, s'mores, and time under the stars.  THIS EVENT IS FREE! (Students will need money for supper.)

Meet at UCC's Youth Building at 3:30, and we will return to UCC by 9:00pm.

All students will need a Parent Permission Slip. Deadline to sign up for the event is Friday, October 4th. To register, please fill out and submit the permission slip linked above.

What students need:

Back-to-School Bowling

Sunday, August 18 | 3:00-5:00pm | Little Apple Lanes

Each year we like to do a back to school event with other youth groups in town. This year, we will be with Crestview's youth group and our UCC Middle Schoolers for bowling night at Little Apple Lanes on August 18th from 3:00-5:00pm! This event is totally free for students (we'll cover shoe rental & 2 games), unless they want to buy concessions! Come join us for a great time of hanging out with other students and leaders to kick off the school year!

This is a perfect opportunity for your students to invite a friend and have them hangout for a zero pressure, fun night. We highly encourage you to have your students invite everyone they know. We can't wait!
