Oasis is a weekend conference for high school students held here in Manhattan on the campuses of K-State & MCC. It will be real and relevant, fun and engaging, while raising up students to make big impact for Jesus in today's culture.
Our speaker will be Ty Zimmerman! You know Ty as the local FCA director, but Ty played football at K-State as a Defensive Back from 2010-2013 and was a junior on the Big 12 Championship team in 2012! After graduating from KSU, Ty was signed as a free agent to the New Orleans Saints and spent the 2014 season on Injured Reserve. After being released from the Saints in 2015, Ty began teaching and coaching at his alma mater in Junction City. It was during this time that he came to know Jesus and felt God call him into ministry. We are so excited to hear Ty share about the Victory we can experience in Jesus.
Worship will be led by University Worship! Who's that, you ask? You know them as Storm, Logan, and the rest of the worship team here at UCC! University Worship is committed to excellence and has a deep desire to see students connect with God with high energy, high impact times of worship through song.
Overnight we'll stay in host homes with youth ministry families. So you'll need a sleeping bag and pillow (or other bedding); an air mattress is optional, but might help you sleep!
